19/08/2020 - NHS Lanarkshire Procurement provided face masks for the Practice to use and we have been supplying patients - who require them for appointments, but arrive without an appropriate face covering. This is for infection prevention and control purposes for use within the practice. National Procurement has received a small number of reports about a potential issue with a single type of mask. This has been reported to the supplier and an investigation is under way.

As a precaution, we advise any masks taken off the premises prior to 14 August 2020 are discarded.

Please note that masks supplied are intended as single use only to cover the period when the patients are in the practice.

Patients are advised to discard the masks, appropriately in a bin, following their appointment. If a patient chooses to retain the mask beyond their visit to the practice, then they do so at their own risk.

Further general information on face coverings can be found at this link.

17/07/2019 - A new Text Message system has been introduced at the practice. This is a secure text messaging service enabling the practice, with patient consent, to send health care invitations and appointment reminders to patients by SMS text. To sign up, please complete a consent form and return to the practice. Consent forms are available at our reception desk at the practice or can be downloaded here.
